Lynda Wilson is an artist living and working in Edinburgh.

She is influenced strongly by her architectural background and she seeks to capture the spirit of a place through drawing, painting, collage, printmaking and artist books. The colour and bold compositions of Matisse, Le Corbusier and De Stijl are particular inspirations.

Her love of the sea, and everything associated with it, and of the city, are revealed throughout her work.

Lynda is a member of bound:unbound and Edinburgh Printmakers.

She studied architecture at Edinburgh College of Art (1963 - 70), receiving an Andrew Grant Bequest travel award to Italy in 1969. Her final design project was published in The Architect & Building News (1970). She worked in various public and private architects' practices including her own (1989 - 2008) and taught architecture at Edinburgh College of Art (1989 - 2008).
